The
governors have responsibility for Special Educational Needs.
The school has concern that there is early identification of
children who may have learning difficulties, so that appropriate
intervention and help can take place as soon as possible. |
|
|
|
The school
adheres to the New Code of Practice for Special Educational
Needs. We have facilities for physically disabled
children. Should the need arise, a child's progress will be
monitored and supported under the supervision of our Special Needs
Co-ordinator. Close involvement of parents will be sought as
the school is well aware of the crucial role that parents play in
their child's learning. |
|
|
|
The school
is also aware of the needs of the more able child. We do our
utmost to ensure that each child works to his ability and achieves
his/her maximum potential. |

Special
arrangements are made for identifying children with SEN and the
Gifted and Talented. We have achieved level 1 of the Dyslexia
Friendly Schools Award. |
