P.E. |
A
plain T-shirt (preferably white) |
A
pair of shorts (white for boys, dark blue for girls) |
A
pair of plimsolls |
A
pair of trainers for outdoor games (KS2) |
A
pair of socks |
Warm
trousers and top |
A
games bag to hold all these |
Swimming |
A
swimming costume (not shorts or leotard) |
A
towel |
A
bathing cap from anyone with hair long enough to obscure vision, or
enter the mouth while swimming |
All
these items should be clearly marked with the child's name |
It
would also be most helpful if an old shirt could be provided for
each child.
If the collar and
cuffs are removed, tape threaded around the neck, and elastic put in
the sleeves, this makes the shirt much more comfortable - especially
for small children, and helps to prevent spillages onto clothing
during any lesson where this might occur. |
Jewellery |
It
is the policy of the Valley School not to allow pupils to wear
jewellery of any kind when they do P.E. Earrings, in
particular, are a problem, as children cannot easily remove these
themselves and they tend to get lost and damaged in the
process. We ask you not to allow your children to wear
earrings. |
