Code of Conduct

Each child at the Valley School will be encouraged to:-

Show kindness and consideration to others

Have good manners

Share with others

Be a good time keeper

Obey school rules, knowing that they are there to keep everyone safe and happy

Class 2 pupils are also encouraged to:-

Use their initiative to help others and the running of the school

Take responsibility for their own learning in partnership with their teacher, class helper and parent

Take responsibility for their own behaviour

Work co-operatively in groups and teams

Actively care for the environment

Care for all the children, especially younger children or any child having difficulties

Develop sensitivity and respect for other peoples' feelings, opinions and property

Look at problems and failure positively, as a chance to learn and develop

Each child at the Valley School will be actively encouraged to never:-

Use bad language

Be rude to anyone

Be acutely selfish

Show verbal or physical aggression

Use bad manners

Show disrespect for people, property or the environment

Bully any other child in any way

Take or interfere with anything that does not belong to them

Move around the school, inside or outside, in a dangerous way

Disrupt and lesson or learning experience with bad behaviour

Be openly defiant
